So, I went to the local horse expo this weekend. I guess the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA?) was doing a special exhibit or something, so I drifted over to their wing of the building (passing by some adorable little Miniatures and some really amazing Saddlebreds, I might add) and I started peering in stalls. May I just say that if ever there was a horse more perfectly formed than the Friesian, I have yet to see it. But as I was poking about the rows and rows of Friesian stallions and half-breed sporthorses...what to my wondering eyes should appear?( What? WHAT?!Collapse )
'Oh, yeah,' the owner says. 'My daughter named him- after a character in a book she read.'
'Yeah, uhm, the author's contacted us a coupla times. Heh heh.'
I guess the only thing that could've made it better was if he was grey Thoroughbred named 'Yfandes'.
